We're starting to see a huge influx of games from Eastern and Central Europe. Bluealien already has done a lot of coverage on The Witcher and now we bring you news and video of Pompolic, a game from Serbia and Montenegro. I'm always glad to see fantasy and science fiction material from other areas of the world.
The Witcher is a great example of this upsurge in content from , stemming from a long series of Polish fantasy novels as well as movies like Night's Watch. Much of the fantasy we see here in the US is western-european centric, the worlds are mostly based on French or English traditions, with the odd bit of Irish folklore thrown in for good measure. Games like Pompolic promise a breath of fresh air into a genre that is stale as an old trencher. I'll let the screenshots and the video speak for themselves.
Pompolic: Call for Heroes comes from Quotix and we expect a release on Q4 of this year.
