Looks like the legal roller-coaster between these two and Activision is going to continue to hit new highs and lows.





Playstation Move sub controller to be named 'Navigation Controller'

Attachment 25988The surprise hit Just Dance keeps on selling incredibly well! Right now, it once again sits on top in the UK charts pushing out Bad Company 2 and Just Cause 2. Elsewhere. Modern Warfare 2 and Wii Sports Resport make up the top five. That's a whole lot of 2's in there!

Apart from that, the clip also features a cameo appearance from Infinity Ward mouth-piece Robert Bowling (fourtwozero) but from the video it is a little tough to see his tag!

Rockstar tries to influence positive review, gets journalist fired

Attachment 25986A very reputable source in Australia (news.com.au) is reporting that Rockstar has essentially got a gaming journalist fired due to their desire for a more positive review on Read Dead Redemption. The fired journalist re-posted an e-mail in which Rockstar asked the magazine publishers to ensure the journalist 'respected the huge achievement' of Read Dead Redemption as many other journalists have praised it. Zoo magazine has confirmed he was fired but for re-posting a private e-mail rather than refusing to write a positive review.

The suit also alleges that the former heads were already conspiring to move over to another publisher of which we expect to be EA.

And while at first glance hackers are greeted with thoughts of piracy, this editorial sets the record straight. The ugly truth is that hackers have advanced the games industry. And how you may ask? Well things like savestates were a common feature on emulators before they came officialy to the PSP to name just one feature. But there are plenty more too!





Capcom's game engine ready for 3D action

Capcom has become one of the first publishers to reveal that its development engine that powers the likes of Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet is 3d compatible. Apparently Resident Evil 5 was 3D ready when it was in development and Lost Planet 2's dev version is 3D ready! Better get those glasses out then.





PS3 on top in Japan for third week in a row

Attachment 25980The PS3 is continuing its sizzling sales streak in Japan as it has managed to be the top selling console for the third week in a row! However, it sold just shy of 39k units last week while during the week prior to that one it sold just over 50k. Slightly worrying, but on the whole it looks like fantastic news for Sony in the land of the rising sun.

PSP Go branded as worse than the WonderSwan

The boss slammed the Go for its 'cramped' design which he believes makes it difficult to play many games comfortably on the portable device. Looks like the PSP Go is getting attacked in all corners!

Dev claims MS passed on XBLA game as they couldn't have it 'exclusively'

Attachment 25973An indie developer has claimed that MS refused to go forward with his game because he couldn't promise them an exclusive on it. Apparently, the dev was in talks with MS for half a year regarding his XBLA title and MS really thought the title would be a huge success. Although they are allegedly not interested in supporting XBLA games that aren't exclusives so things didn't take-off.



GTA IV used in UK Schools to teach kids about sex, drugs and violence

Attachment 25972Now this one is a surprise! Grand Theft Auto is being used in a number of schools to help TEACH students. The 18 rated title is being used to show students various acts of violence within the game in a bid to prevent them from actually becoming violent. It is hoped that this initiative will stop kids becoming 'desensitised' to violent behaviour and actually teach them about real life consequences. Good or bad move?

At a recent local showing, Sony were offering cocktails to those in attendence, and Daily Week asked various 'nerds' the big question. Heavy Rain sells 1 million, 700k above estimates

Attachment 25969David Cage has revealed that the PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain has sold 1 million units worldwide. Apparently this shocked many as the game was expected to sell just between 200,000 and 300,000 units. Cage is confident mood now and expects the title to move over 1.5 million units before the year is out!
